Larry David left after S6, I think.
There's definitely a shift in the style of humor in S7-S9, more slapstick stuff, characters become more exaggerated and one-note versions of themselves etc
it changed into friends kind a humour in season 7. even the camera work is different

I'd say it went down in quality a bit but it's still solid comedy.

It got sillier and less dark, with more slapstick humor, pop culture references, and the characters were more exaggerated. The episodes were still funny but you can definitely tell it was now Jerry's show.

I couldn't watch more than 3 episodes of Season 8, it was just too cocky, too self-referential and cynical. Every last bit of charm had been sucked dry by the end of season 7.
