To spot bad writing is not really some magical skill only the greatest writers can spot. It's honestly like knowing when someone is singing off-key or playing off-beat. It just seems off and how it doesn't go with the grand scheme of things.

I like the Kylo vs Finn fight, actually looked like 2 grown men swinging lightsabers at each other, with the dominance of one. Kylo was basically playing with him, Finn constantly backing up trying to defend while Kylo went after him with a slow terminator like pace hitting rocks and slicing trees around him with no control. And only when Finn managed to hit Kylo, then the toying around stopped and then he fucked Finn up quickly
And to all those who say "why didn't he force push/freeze him?"
I think Kylo was eager to swing his lightsaber in a duel after so long, and to "show" the traitor that he doesn't even deserve to hold that weapon in his hands, kind of like a pride thing. You can compare that to a samurai fight, if one draws a samurai sword out, the other won't pull out a glock and kill him
