Cloverfield always seemed like it was meant to be a video game but nobody knew how to program such a thing. As a movie it was very much interesting, and I'd like to see how they'd tackle a second one.

Wtf JJ and the studio were thinking when they greenlighted it, glad barely anyone read it though. The viral campaign for Cloverfield was top notch, everyone was convinced it was a Godzilla movie till toy leaks started coming out.
