What does /tv/ think about Bone Tomahawk? Based Richard Jenkins and Kurt Russell made this movie great.

Direction was mediocre, lots of lousy shaky cam and poor landscape photography. Poor production values.
Acting was fine, though Richard Jenkins was surprisingly terrible, very cartoonish characterization. Russell was good, Matthew Fox was better than usual. I always like Patrick Wilson.
The script was pretty good and overcame most of the negative factors by itself.
Frankly though it's overrated and I think people keep trumpeting it just to put down Tarantino's Kurt Russell western, but the contrast between the two is night and day. Tarantino has a much better eye as a director.
