I liked it. I enjoyed the movie a lot and I don't give a fuck.
I also like Crowe's Javert better than the famous Philip Quast's (I love both though). The character, I mean, not the performance as Quast obviously does it better. Sad grey Javert (Crowe) > Enraged Javert (Quast and pretty much all the musical actors).

I'm a fan of the book and I feel Crowe got the character better (even if he sings like shit by technical standards) than Quast. Quast just smiles way too much in his performance, I especially dislike his silly sadistic smile at the beggining of the Confrontation in the 10th anniversary.
There are much better stage Javerts, like Jean Vallée, Roger Allam (although those two only have audio recordings) and Terrance Mann.
