That's the exact sort of "flaw", which does not actually hinder the character in any way and gives her a license to be a jerk whenever it suits or suddenly demonstrate a wealth of compassion when the plot needs that, that every second shitfic writer gives to her Mary Sue character.

He also fought Finn first, and had to outrun them in the forest. He was probably exhausted. If anything, Finn should have been able to inflict some damage.
Plus in the OT, they show that the force is some haxx bullshit that allows you to be strong without any real training.
