Exactly my thoughts. The show has gotten progressively worse to the point that I have zero hype for the upcoming season. And the trailer didn't help as, well, extremely short glimpses of battles indicate to me that they're all they can come up to arouse interest from viewers.

This show was on its way to redemption in season 3.
The cinematography was wonderful, MOST storylines they wrote were awesome (like Odin visiting Ragnar's family) but then it really REALLY shit the bucket with

It was so well written death for Ragnar and I felt like I was cucked out of a satisfying, good ending to his story.
This show has a couple of neat things going on and one of them is passage of time really feels in this show imo and Ragnar's death would've played to that so well with his son or brother picking up from his scraps.

It went from good quality that I enjoyed to a fucking writing I hated so fast.
I like that the photographers/cinematographers of the show try really ahrd. Some times they film something really fucking neat, wish I was on my desktop where I have more screenshosts of the show.
Pic related is Bjorn's busted up waifu leaving Kattegat, was a great little scene that lasted a couple of seconds.
Then sometimes the cinematography of the nature feels like watching BBC production which I guess.. is a... plus?
