It's okay. It seems profound if your cultural point of reference is something like fight club but it doesn't hold up when compared with world cinema.
Kaufman's writing is too convoluded and his direction and camera placement is just this side of functional. The art department does most of the heavy lifting for the film and is probably the only noteable aspect of it beyond PSHs performance which I doubt Kaufman can take much credit for.
Overall a 6/10, better than most of what's coming out of Hollywood but not truly remarkable.
