That was a huge issue and I don't think the movie recovered after that. It didn't have a good reason to kill off its only compelling protagonist other than for shock.

It wasn't a great movie but I don't regret watching it. I think people give it too much shit about it's tongue-in-cheek nature. You have to remember that the movie isn't trying to make fun of these aspects and seem witty, it revels in them. It was a passing attempt at revitalizing the genre.
Again, not great but it had some good action sequences (both Colin Firth) and the rest of the movie really could have been much worse. Something I would recommend to normie family members or my friends for a laugh. It's not Book of Life bad.
