Treatment for Episode 8 kinda leaked, tons of people have seen it. Why isn't there a discussion on /tv/ already? I was sure there were some professional screenwriters here.
In summary, The First Order no longer exists. Leia is a traitor working for Snoke. The Empire is back as a "third party", called Loyalists. Luke had a wife Lyra and Kylo killed their daughter (Rey is not Luke's daughter). Main plot is about searching for Luke's students before Snoke gets to them (unsuccessful). Luke kills all Knights of Ren except Kylo, but suffers great damage. Phasma joins the Loyalists and heroes (BB-8, Poe, Finn, Rey) do too.
Thoughts? Sounds surprisingly lowbrow in my opinion.

I'm guessing the producer (it was Kathleen Kennedy, right?) was just talking in general, and that also was before the movie premiered, so she wouldn't want to spoil the surprise, obviously.
I could see some weird stuff considering this is basically fantasy in space, but I kind of doubt it. Harrison has had enough of this (for a while, actually) and doubt he'll get his character a cheap death and then come back.
