Why is this show so damn good?
I say it's the characters. The actors are always so full of energy in every episode that it really brings their unique personas to life.
Each character works and stands out. Simple.
Frank is a filthy by-gone pig
Dee is a punching bag for the show
Mac is a wannabe alpha with great physical comedic timing
Dennis is a psycho with a god complex and the biggest loser of them all

Too bad its been shit the last three seasons save for Mac day charlie work and the thanksgiving episode
Anyone notice Dennis snaps more often and and more intense in later seasons? I think it started in the episode "The Gang breaks Dee", where Dennis was fucked with hard mentally when it turned out his efforts to pour his heart out to Dee were in vain when it turned out Dee's standup career was all an elaborate ruse, which Dennis was not aware of.

you could either say it's the show inevitably playing a character's traits harder as it's runtime goes on for easier laughs, or you could say it's the character getting more and more fucked as time goes on
the latter does seem like a lazy handwave, but Dennis in particular has been in a exponential spiral since season 4 so I can go with it
I honestly don't see why its so popular like I've tried to like it but cant. Dany Davito is what gets me through watching it but other than that its just a group of people acting stupid because they all have mental disorders.
