So let me get this straight, Obi-wan loses several times to Dooku, a guy who is shown to be an excelent duelist handing both Obi and Anakin their asses, and then fighting Yoda to a draw before escaping.
Then years later in their rematch Obi-wan gets owned yet again by Dooku, except this time Anakin wins his duel with Dooku. This puts Anakin at least at Yoda's level.
So, how in the hell is Obi-wan able to beat Vader in that last duel? It was clear that the stronger force user and duelist was Anakin..
Is this why the whole "high ground" meme came about, because of the ridiculousness of it?

Dooku is Obi Wans Achilles heel. His excellent duelist fighting style has an advantage over Obi Wans defense style, and without the high ground he has no chance.
But in pretty much any other situation, Obi Wan can have the high ground from a certain point of view, and therefore a major advantage. Obi Wan is pretty much the best Jedi to ever live, with Dooku being the sole person who could defeat him

Also you can clearly see that Dooku was not expecting Sheev to order his death. Dooku felt his side was in control all the time and got bested by what he believed to be a lesser enemy. Obi-wan, on the other hand, was humble and knew that Vader was more powerful than him. He is on the defensive for pretty much all the fight.

It's not as simple as one guy beats another. It's about their fighting styles to, although they barely seem different in the films, they're differentiated more in alternate media.
Dooku uses a form based on precise, wide swinging, or thrusts. Obi-Wan has a form based on defence alone, basically. But it's a defence against basically everything EXCEPT Dooku's form, which can only really be countered by stronger attacks. This is why Yoda and Anakin did well against him, they both use offensive forms.
However, Obi-Wan is the best practitioner of his form, basically ever. Anakin is overall a better duellist, but his imbalance of emotion and metal state meant Obi-Wan was able to simply wait it out until he had angered Anakin so much he left himself too open.
