Season 3 retcons the Underwoods' entire personalities and also has Doug who nobody cares about.

In the original, the second major plot revolved around Francis forcing the King to abdicate.
I thought they'd try and have it so it was a long battle with the Supreme Court over America Works, but instead they just cobbled together a bunch of problems that ordinary Presidents face.
Petrov had like 3 episodes but was supposed to be the 'bad guy'. Well you can't really scheme against international rivals because there's no way to really screw them.
I stopped during mid-season 2. It's similar to Boss (after the first season) as the further along it goes, the more ridiculous the episodes become. Less character-driven narratives and more 'shock value' incidents to push the series forward. Once they attempt to juggle multiple story arcs with multiple characters it tends to get unfocused.

Thats because the staff/network/producers/sponsors wanted to cater to the audience with season 2. By the end of season 3, Frank is a fucking superhero who can do no wrong because supposedly the audience loves assholes. The problem is that hes supposed to be a superasshole.

I kept going through the episodes waiting for something to happen and it just petered out.
Ive said it once, Ill say it again. Frank should have been built up into a full dictator who started making aggressive moves for world domination (beyond what US already has).
