The fact that they got pretty much every single second of Kylo Ren screentime (and in decent quality considering it's all pretty much from shitty cameras) for these is impressive.
I actually thought Kylo Ren was the best character in the movie and I like how they made him a total edgy sperg who worships Vader while getting his ass kicked and being conflicted with his desires.

I did. I've always been big into the EU too and instantly hated the new design when it showed up in the first trailer. I was conflicted though because I always like the Sith more and knew he'd be my favorite character from the new movies regardless.
As the movie came closer to being released and we saw more of Kylo's overall design and character I began to like it more. It fits him well and there are reasons it was designed like that. It looks new without being completely stupid, and I liked how it was used in the movie.
I even bought the fucking replica so I guess it's really grown on me.
It should have been a stale mate with both of them receiving injuries and realizing they need to train more.

By definition, if there was a third Sith, then Darth Vader and Darth Sidious would be obligated to hunt him down and kill him. Likewise, Snoke would seek to kill one and coerce the other into apprenticeship, or kill both and find a new apprentice (Kylo).
Snoke could've been a Dark Jedi who formally proclaimed himself a Sith Lord after their deaths, but he could not have been some "Sith in hiding" from other Siths. Believe it or not, if he chose this route, it would automatically make him exempt from being a Sith since it implied he had fear and wasn't ambitious/cunning enough to overthrow the others. Sith were neutral against Dark Jedi or didn't give a shit, so Snoke would've been recognized for his power but not considered a huge threat unless he amassed some dark jedi army.

I figured that was because Vader in the last movie brought an end to the Sith. There always was the rule of 2, a master and an apprentice, and Vader ended that by killing his master and turning good.
So with the Sith gone, there's no more Darth characters. And balance to the force like Anakin was supposed to bring. Except, you know, all new evil guys that just aren't the Sith but whatever.
