Original. BRRIP
this movie was garbage. the entire time i couldn't stop thinking that this girl had a personality disorder and desperately needed treatment.
when all her personality islands fall, does that mean she has no personality anymore? what was she like? did she talk? did she think? i don't get it.
>>64353023
Just finished. Uploading. Used Vegas, the sound is kind of iffy, as I went in and replaced where Amy Poeler and friends talked with the soundtrack, and it's not always super neat.

Did you ever move away from all your friends as a kid? It's fucking hard to start at a new school in a new city with all new people, so she was having a tough time coping with her emotions. When her personality islands fall she no longer has an interest in that thing, so she was essentially going through a depression where she lost interest in everything and didn't know how to cope with all the change in her life other than running away back to her old home. In the end she snaps out of it and realizes she can't just run away (as most kids do when trying to run away from home) so she goes back to her parents. Ultimately, the experiences she goes through help her to mature and learn not everything can always be roses and sunshine, but you just have to make the best of what you have. That's what's represented with the more complex multi-emotion memory balls, she's more accepting of mixed emotions and thinks of memories and experiences through more than just a single lens like children do.

I hated it because the main "hero" of the story is an obnoxious self-absorbed fucking BULLY. Joy is a total CUNT.

i moved 5 times before i was even in highschool and i didnt go schizophrenic. luckily my dad got the belt whenever i was started to act faggy and emotional, and now? i'm fucking my 10/10 waifu every night. what are you doing, bitchboy?
>>64353825
Nigga I did that 11 times as a child (I wish I were kidding) and it never drove to the lengths of what she experiences. She's just a cry baby about it.

>my experiences are different so that means other experiences are invalid
Also, note that you both mentioned moving several times. You got used to it, business as usual moving every year or two. Imagine being in one place until like age 11 and then suddenly moving across the country against your will. It's different. And sure, maybe she was being a crybaby about it or whatever, but it's not like it's invalid as an experience; kids DO go through that sometimes in that type of situation.

Post 'em.
Why are the emotional personifications in the mother all female, and in the father all male, but the daughter has mixed sexes inside her head?
Is the daughter destined to be gender-fluid or transsexual?
>>64357177
They are probably mixed before puberty. Then estrogen kicks in and they all become female.
>>64357177
Because it's a movie and a mixed cast allowed for better humor as anger and fear both had male traits that added to the comedy.
>>64357177
she's a tomboy, her dad is very masculine, and her mother is very feminine. I didn't think people were this autistic.
>>64357177
fuck off with this SJW shit
Pete Docter has literally said so the characters were more memorable and added more to the story. The Mum/Dad parts were also for humour.
somebody post that pic of the girl getting fucked by her bf's cock and joy really enjoying it
This movie was retarded as fuck. Anti-Christian as well.
Always be joyful. 17 Never stop praying. 18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.
Why are we teaching children that they should constantly be on balancing on a razor's edge between depression and sorrow and joy and shit? Whatever happened to "Happily Ever After"?

i think the main character is transexual desu.
>>64358161
It's not bait, but it still was designed to get a reaction out of someone; kudos to being the chosen one. The premise is okay. Not meant for children though. Not suitable for a Pixar film.
>Sorry Timmy, you cant be happy all the time. Gotta be sad also :(
It's at 98%. Just rewatched it and have a few little warnings:
Music is too loud at times compared to dialogue
There are like 3 single frames of emotions.

The boy was older and pubescent.

>It's fucking hard to start at a new school in a new city with all new people
I've done this like 10 times. It's not that hard. Pretty much everyone is eager to be liked and get along with others as a kid, plus newbie's are intriguing.

>I've done this like 10 times.
So you got used to dealing with it because moving was normal life. That's not what's depicted in the movie. She's a kid who grew up in one place with one set of friends at one school her whole life until she was forced to move across the country to a shitty house with no furniture where she knew no one and she'd never had the experience of starting over in a new place before. You really think it's unreasonable for a kid in this situation to be sad, upset, or homesick? If so, you lack empathy and are blinded by the idea that your experiences and feelings must be exactly the same as every other person's, which simply is not the case.
