Regardless of which you liked more, can we all agree that Clone Wars was a much better link between AoTC and RoTS than The Clone Wars?
Not really mate. It's a bunch of nonsense and you still don't know anything about any of the characters. It's fun but it doesn't really do justice to the war.

It didnt cover as much but it was a much smoother transition. TCW felt like it was limiting itself all the time to stay in line with canon (general grevious battles with anakin and obi wan all the time but nothing can ever come of it so he just parkours into his ship every episode).

I liked that it started where episode 2 ended and ended where episode 3 started instead of dragging through random seasons and adventures. Wasn't good, but better than Padawan Anakin getting an apprentice, and random fanfiction-tier storylines over the course of season after season.
