I do disagree with his watching order. I think it worked best watching them in the order of 4>5>1>2>3>6. You get the twist of Vader being Luke's father, and then you go back to learn about Anakin. A surprise that's given watching it in this order too is finding out Luke is a twin with Leia, because you don't find out Padme is having twins until she gives birth at the end of episode III. It's done with more shock value then how it's revealed in episode VI. One of my biggest problems with The Force Awakens is that it has the tone of an action movie while the existing six-film saga is essentially an epic poem in film form, full of all the grandiose melodrama you would expect from exactly that. The saga is space opera, emphasis OPERA, while The Force Awakens is just Marvel space action.
Anyone who thinks there was something really beautiful about the prequels is feeling around the edges of that "epic poem" understanding, and is EXACTLY what we need for Star Wars going forward.

Does it now? Really? This seems more to be the difference between releasing a star wars as an independent studio versus releasing a star wars by a major studio.
TPM wasn't a critical success, but it wasn't pushed by a marketing campaign of this magnitude either, it was a different time. Lucasfilm broke distribution deals with several parties to release TPM, while Disney is doing it completely in-house marketing included.
Don't get me wrong, Lucasfilm was a fantastic independent studio. Creative, technically skilled, efficient. However when it comes to the craft of releasing movies they were average really. Lucas had about 6000 employees on his payroll during his peak. Disney has 180 000 employees as of last year. If we're going to compare department by department the difference between the two, let me tell you when we'll come to marketing licensing and distribution, Lucasfilm will look ridiculously outnumbered.
The old Lucasfilm machine was a technical one first and foremost, it wasn't well suited to handle large scale modern worldwide releases such as ep VII.
