Oh god I loved this show. There's really nothing else like it, at least not that I know of. People always say Farscape, but as much as I like it, it played everything totally straight and was honestly generic as fuck. The fact that Lexx rarely took itself seriously is what set it above a lot of similar shows about people dicking around in space. It was kind of like Red Dwarf, but loaded with softcore tentacle porn.

S3 could have been at least as good as S2 if it had been about half as long. It's abundatly fucking obvious what's going on after the first few eps, but they really insist on dragging it out. It has some of my all-time favorite eps though, like the Garden one.
