The prequels don't finish their own thoughts.
The queen needs to transmit a message to the a Chancellor, but she immediately gets him fired and Palpatine is installed. She's not the most intelligent or suspecting character. We know nothing about Maul's character or motivations.
In the second, she's suddenly a Senator, but we know nothing about her transition from monarch to senator. We know nothing about the Count's Separatist career either.
We know nothing about Gen. Grievous in Episode III.

because the Force is supposed to be mysterious and spiritual. most people ignored that hereditary aspect and saw it as something anyone can tap into and make it a spiritual thing. by saying

takes all the magic and power out and turns it from a mysterious force into just a super hero power, which makes the story far less grand
They should have made them about obi wan and his relation to quigon, doku, anakin, palpatine,...
