>''Now I am truly, the Knight Of Cups™''
REALLY
MOTHERFUCKING
R E A L L Y
Jesus christ, I thought Malick was a serious film maker and Christian Bale was the greatest actor of our generation
AND THEY PULLED THIS SHIT?
What did they mean by this /tv/?
Malick just doesn't give a fuck anymore. He probably smokes weed all day and just tells Lubezki to drive to the desert / ocean with the stars and to return with something cool looking.
There is absolutely nothing to tell in KoC. No story, no deep meanings, no characters, no interaction. It's just one huge camera showreel. It looks nice, but is completly empty.
>Malick
>Serious Filmmaker
I think he prefers making pretty stuff over interesting stuff
>>64316177
I haven't seen KOC yet, but why does /tv/ have such a hate boner for the title of a film appearing in the film itself?
In literature such a thing is actually considered good and a sign of depth. It's what guys like fucking Shakespeare did constantly.
>inb4 Shakespeare was a hack
>>64316380
It's a meme. Or real assburgers. If the mentioning of the title was KoC's only probem, I'd have no problem with it at all. I don't care about such things.
>>64316380
>Truly, it was a Midsummer Night's Dream
Really?
>"I guess in the end we truly were all a War And Peace"
TOLSTOY YOU SHIT.
>>64316308
you just
don't
get
it
>Truly, these will be known as the Star Wars.
Holy fuck make it end
>>64316177
>>64316484
>I...............................................................................................................................................................................................................
>drive
JESUS CHRIST REALLY?
>>64316577
Yeah. Sure. Whatever.
>>64316177
"this really is the return of the king!"
BRAVO HACKSON
>"And Chester Charles Smithers, SUCKED on that warm black dingus for looooong as he could. That is what makes us The Hateful eight™"
Fucking really, Quentin...?

i bet you're one of those people who can't 'feel' a movie. you're sitting there writing down plot points and camera angles and how much sense they make but you can't let yourself go and fee lthe moment
>Truly now we are /tv/ Television and Film
really Moot?
How did this leak so early?
>after the fucking he gave my tight ass last night, I think I truly understand The Passion of the Christ
RRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED

screener season
>We're all trapped in our realities, a maze of our perceptions built upon the foundations of experience. Wherever she is, she's in Pan's Labyrinth
Seriously? FUCKING DROPPED
>>64316768
>feeling overpayed actors just strolling arround without really anyone there, telling them what to do at all
yeah, nice movie you got there.
honestly: if it works for you, I am ok with that. You will have to live with it though, that most people won't "feel" jackshit, while watching it.
i have neven seen a malick flick, is this a good starting point?
>>64316913
It's not a screener. It's up on iTunes in Europe
>>64316963
no. i'd suggest if you want to start with Malick to do it chronologically
>>64316924
>overpayed
Please delete your post and correct your spelling mistake.
not the guy you're replying to.
Didn't this whole movie title joke stem from Family Guy? Are you guys retarded?
>>64317006
how about: know!
>>64316870
wow was this really a line
>>64317030
Yes it was the line that got Mel Gibson in trouble.
>Whatever you do, do NOT cross the thin red line!
Jesus it's like Malick has a problem
>>64317072
>Finally, we have landed on The New World
You think?
>>64317014
Hello Reddit!
>>64317072
>And here is; The Tree Of Life in all it's splendor
Yup
>Now is the time... THAT BATMAN BEGINS!
Maybe it's a Christian Bale thing
>there I am reading /tv/ trashing the movie before I watch it
I fucking love it.
You guys know how to ruin anything and nitpick so hard that you just can't unsee anymore. Then I go watch the movie after reading /tv/, all I see is memes, shit acting, plotholes, aids and empty scenarios.
And you know what? I would definitely enjoy that movie if I wasn't there before watching it.
And that is great. Thank you guys.
>Finally, the Force Awakens in IMAX 3D
FUCKING REALLY
>>64317145
>Welcome to the badlands, baby
Nah it's a Malick thing
>>64317165
It's one thing, just to be an edgy teenager on /tv/ making fun about actually good stuff, but something other to just call a stinker by it's name. KoC is an actual stinker.
>>64316380
I think it's because it takes the viewer out of the reality of the work, it basically acknowledges that it's a movie .
BRAVA MALICKO
SIMPLY BRAVO
MAFLICK
>>64316177
>Truly those days were Days of Heaven
>movie is called Knight of Cups
>there isn't a single knight in the movie
Bravo Malick you hack
>>64319747
Yeah, but man, did he go overboard with the cups
>>64316177
Knight of cucks
>>64316308
>mfw this is completely spot on
Someone will probably try to explain that he's "searching for something new and when he finds it, the heavens will open and he will become the God of cinema". Not buying it.
Plummer called it years ago.
>he needs a writer... desperately.
>>64316177
BEST. MOVIE. EVER.
Anyone saying the contrary, simply doesn't understand great cinema.
>>64320784
I can't tell if this is bait or not but I agree. I haven't seen To The Wonder yet but I felt Knight of Cups perfected the balance between the surreal and the real that he initially created in Tree of Life.
>the cup of shit
"Living my life, is like playing Call of Duty on easy..." bravo Malick, bravo!
>>64321202
Delivered by Offerman and Clifton Collins Jr., no less. "Throw on some cheat codes and frag people left and right"
