I dont think it sucks, but it definatly didnt live up to its potential.
My 2 big complaints are:
-many character arcs seemely fizzle out when they were some of my favorite parts of the show. Like Eli just got sent to Chicago to be a goon, then gets sent back later, now he a beach bum. And martha just disappeared like season 3 or 4 then comes back as a banker for a quick stock market plot line.
-all the gangsters just getting along again after a big war or shootout every season. Like every season ended with Nucky going to war and getting the better or people like rothstien or luciano, bit first episode of the next season, they all just hanging out at nuckys club, "here is 100,000$, sorry about having half your men killed last month".

It doesn't suck, it's amazing acting, sets, great period piece. Some really great scenes, episodes. Overall it's still an 8/10 and better than most shit out there.
Biggest issue for me was that the seasons felt unplanned and disjointed. Van Alden's character arch, for example. Great character and it felt like they had no idea where to go with him.
The overall plot just felt poorly planned and the last season definitely rushed. Although none were 'bad'.
Jimmy's death was too much for plebs to take but was actually great.

huh wait what ?? the flashbacks to Nucky, Gillians, and the Commodore bringing everything full circle were some of the Goatest parts of the series ( the actor for their young counterparts were fucking goat )
the fifth season did felt a bit rushed but the overall story is high and above 90% of the shit on TV nowadays.

Watching young Nucky slowly take the path of the gangster he eventually becomes is deliciously fun, but watching young vibrant and spunky Gillian slowly walk towards the meat grinder that was Nucky and Commodore was fucking horrible to witness, you almost sympathize with the monster she becomes
Stopped a few episodes into season 3, which a lot of my friends were saying was starting to go downhill, but mostly liked, mostly because of Chip.
But yeah, I lost interest... it just became boring to me. Yeah, I'm a bit of a Jimmyfag, so what? It wasn't just him that I liked, but the several storylines and relationships surrounding him.
I feel like they tried to Ned him and it didn't quite work.

It's the best show of the decade only The Knick comes close.
The only flaws i could clearly state with the show were the rushed ending and the shows final treatment of Harrow.
Also didn't like the way the characters did everything they could to disgrace Michael Pitt after he was fired(Capone calling him a nobody,Harrows lack of sadness over his death,his corpse literally being used as a macguffin.)
