The reason The Incredibles is so patrician is because it's not actually capeshit. It just uses capeshit as a backdrop to tell the story of a family. Every piece of capeshit out there nowadays exists solely for the reason of le action and witty comedy. Capeshit has no interest in telling a story other than the generic save the day bullshit.
