Nope. Rest of the Ryan films have equally pedestrian plots but Patriot Games has an emotional center and characters you actually care about(Ryan's family). Pretty much everything from the score to the casting is GOAT. To suggest anything less is, frankly, silly. Sean Connery is alright, but does he really come close to Richard Harris in acting talent? Not a chance.
