How come people don't socialize at McDonalds like they used to? It used to be THE place to hangout after school or work with the teens-young adults because it was cheap. I used to go there all the time to play at the mcdonalds playplace after school and play some mario 64 because they hooked up a nintendo system for poeple to play. now it's like everybody uses the drivethru and goes home except for homeless people and tourists
why? is there a different fast food hub with a cheap $1 menu that has attracted that demographic elsewhere?

I think going to Mcdonalds is generally less popular than it once was. It's why if you've kept up on them you've noticed they've been struggling to find new markets. I also don't know if the dollar menu is even a thing anymore.

Man and me is half McDonalds advertisement and half Coke advertisement wrapped in an ET ripoff shell.

>except for homeless people and tourists
and you don't want to associate with either, so you don't go there.

I struggled to get into it a bit, but the motorcycle ride with that song, after the fight at the end sent shivers down my spine.

they're not very cheap anymore compared to competition. burger king and wendys are better and the same price, five guys and in'n'out and the like are vastly better for a bit more. there's no reason to prefer mcd's besides proximity.

they stopped being cheap

That little boy looking from the outside in at the people merrily eating fat food or icecream like it's no big deal was me growing up. I always felt a connection with the kid from Santa Cluse 1985

To be fair that was the Anti-McDonalds movie that got Disney to not renew their contract with McDonalds in 2005 which is why there are no Star War Happy meal toys or Frozen Happy Meal toys now.

>that scene
this is such an underrated film. should be in the top 100 american classics of all time.

Fuck I'm getting hungry
I remember my mom was watching one of those kdramas and this Korean dude went to America for the first time
He tried to order food and the guy said "That'll be $____"
Then the Korean dude said "I only have one dollar"
The scene skipped to him gaving a big mac and he starts eating it before he left the line
It was like 15 years ago
