I like movies like Walter Mitty or Hector and the Search for Happiness. They aren't great or even good but usually have decent sound tracks and good landscape cinematography.
Other than that I make up a plan of what I'm going to do. I fucked up at Christmas by getting super drunk and embarrassing myself in front of my extended family so am in a similar position.
