What does /tv/ think of Annie Hall?
>>
It's a Woody Allen Movie. I generally like a Woody Allen Movie, because I find Allen himself somewhat amusing to watch on screen. However, they're all the same, deep down.

a little dry

Never seen an Allen movie. Where should I start?

I like Woody Allen's stand-up better than his movies honestly.

>>64140349
Pic related and Manhatten are his most popular

>they're all the same

Weird way of letting everyone know you've seen about 2 of them.

>early woody stand up at an upstate ny resort

Really fucking based
>>
>>64140426
ive seen all of them and hes right
>>
>>64140420
His stand up is some of the best of all time, but Annie Hall is one of my favorite movies.

I like his (more) serious character dramas like Manhattan, Hannah & Her Sisters, and Crimes & Misdemeanors rather than his goofier romance stuff like Annie Hall and Love & Death
>>
>>64140685
I know you're joking, but I bought all three of his stand up albums. I'd highly recommend them.

You're stupid as fuck if you think Bananas is "the same" as Interiors.

Too many stupid kiddos on this board.

I'm a little disappointed his delivery isn't just like Alvy Singer. I guess it really is ignorant to think they're the same person
>>

Match Point is objectively the most accessible.

I thought i would really like it after hearing about woody allen for so long, but he actually ended up being extremely obnoxious for me. go figure. He never ever stops talking.

Annie Hall
Bananas

Blue Jasmine
Hannah and Her Sisters

It's Woody Allen's best film. I thoroughly enjoy it but I enjoy a lot of movies most of /tv/ would call "pseudo-intellectual", like La Jetée and Begotten, which seems to be the common shitposter's way of saying "I don't get it".
>>
>>64141709
>"pseudo-intellectual

What's >intellectual about it? It's a pretty strict narrative, no real nuance. I think it's a reflective piece while also showing the natural cinematic rise and fall formula of a relationship. I think about this movie all the time in the context of my current relationship. Feelings of love and lust are fleeting and all of a sudden this person you once loved to pieces is a memory or a friend.
>>
>>64140217

How did it revolutionize story telling?
>>
>>64141709
>>64141213
Pseudo-intellectual is only a word that dumb normies and teenage autists use to describe things they don't understand.
