>dat emotion when the light saber goesReyinstead ofKylo Ren
I literally cried. Shit was powerful. What was the best moment of the movie for you?
>>64132503
What the fuck are you talking about?
Thats sounds like some harry potter shit.
I applauded in the theater when Finn kept trying to hold her hand and she was like "BACK THE FUCK OFF!"
She can clearly take care of herself and is a bad ass.
>>64132503
rey taking finn's jacket. I hope it is implied they started dating when the 8th movie starts.
>>64132503
it genuinely amazes me that this bullshit surprised anybody, much less made them cry. we were already told the lightsaber magically chose rey, and kylo is a big pussy who only manages to kill a defenseless old man. shocker.
>>64132545
People like you make watching movies terrible for everyone else. You're just in denial that you actually crave dick.
Not gonna lie I teared up at that part as the force theme started playing. Fuck the haters, that's when Rey came into her own as a true Star Wars icon
>"Hey everyone look at me, I didn't allow myself to become immersed in the film and as a result did not experience the proper emotional responses. This reflects positively on my character and intellect."
Rey was the best part of this film. Rey haters have legitimately shit taste.

>I brag about crying at a childrens movie about light swords
Rey handing off the saber to Luke was genuinely the most emotional theatrical experience I had since I saw Blue Is the Warmest Color.
Official Character power rankings:
God Tier:
Masked Kylo

Good Tier:
Finn

Poe
Meh Tier:

Unmasked Kylo AKA "Ben"
Shit Tier:

That one nazi-ish guy, cant remember his name but he didn't do much
I liked most things with Kylo except the attempted mind rape scene, that was pretty hacky.
When the X-Wings came to save the day at whatever the name of that planet was
When the falcon was flying away from the TIEs
the whole first 20 minutes (until finn met rey) was pretty amazing actually
>>64132994
do you also cry at Lifetime Originals? or are you just 'not immersed' enough?

Maz's planet is Takodana
Resistance base planet is D'qar
Planet that gets blown up is Hosnian Prime
I was annoyed too that the movie is unclear about what takes place where

Good job on making an argument that doesn't make you sound like a possibly autistic edgelord. I have not seen TFA and do not know how exactly the argument relates to it, but speaking generally, are you against the experience of emotions intended by the filmmaker? Would you please define the appropriateness cutoff for where the emotionally mature viewer may experience an emotional response? PG-13? Is Toy Story (a G-rated children's film) emotions-appropriate? Please enlighten us.
IMO taking non-immersion as a maturity indicator is a wannabe-normalfag-from-day-one redflag.
The only good scenes (ie. scenes that aren't just rehashed from the original trilogy is some form) are
>fight in the forest between Kylo and Rey with the trees getting cut down and the light sabers producing purple light when they collide (seriously hands down the best scene)
>when Kylo stops that blaster bolt in mid air and the storm troopers tackle the spic
>the storm trooper nazi rally
>scenes with ships flying with a sunset in the background
Parts that fucking sucked and made me want to gouge my eyes out with a light saber
>the Kylo Ren parent reveal
>Kylo Ren killing his dad
>Lord Voldemort running the sith
>The design of that new droid
>all the new weapon designs, ALL OF THEM
>Finn's jokes, completely uncharacteristic of Star Wars. The original brand of humor on display from C3PO make it even more apparent
>>64133942
finn's sense of humor felt jarringly modern. i think boyega did a great job selling what he was given, but his character did not seem like someone who had been raised to be a soldier at all.
>>64132503
>Shit was powerful
Yes for you and all the other eight year olds.
>>64133001
I liked the character and think Ridley is pretty cute but her acting was a bit shitty. Her delivery of her lines was pretty bad towards the beginning.
>>64133942
>not liking BB-8
I hope Christian Bale angrily rants at you.
THE FUCK. ARE YOU. DOING?!!
>>64134079
I think his attitude was heavily influenced by Will Smiths character from Independence Day. The way he delivers the jokes made me think of that every time.
>>64133942
I actually like the scene with luke facing the ocean with his back turned and that cool music playing. Should of ended the movie right there.
>>64132545

Nope, you know what each of those where and knowing their names adds nothing to the story.
>I take my dork wars VERY seriously
>>64134079
Watch Ep 6 again. There's a lot of cheesy but charming back and forth with han and luke in the Tatooine sequence, too.
>>64135905
We even got a Will Smith "WHOO!" during the first Falcon chase scene
>>64133495
Yeah, that Luke scene was pretty awesome. Creates a bunch of mystery.
The end scene when the force theme started playing was the best for me, couldn't help smiling and tearing up. Also chewie being aggro after Han died.
