peak oil is a meme and an old one. oil is the cheapest liquid next to water and we discover new sources all the time its just not worth drilling now because we have so fucking much.

And people say politics is why we're doomed.

That's OPEC for you. Ruining the world one step at a time. They caused the iraq war and the war in syria.
Now they've lowered the price of crude to price fix shale oil out of business.
Enjoy 20 dollar per gallon gas prices. You deserve it.

I'm tired of dealing with sand niggers too but the left keeps saying muh enviroment. Also you have it a little backwards. they were artifically inflating the prices because fuck us and we made them bring it back to normal with local production. but still at the end of the day fuck them we should have just taken it all when we invaded them. trump is right.

Shale oil does not have a very good profit margin. All it takes is a low enough price and it's a complete loss.
The other shoe is falling, and people are too delusional and selfish to accept it.

Going there to take the oil will be more expensive than switching energy sources.
Switch and the mudslimes will be bending over themselves to sell you oil. The whole invading it and taking it is a temporary solution, a temporary, expensive, solution.

>Going there to take the oil will be more expensive than switching energy sources.
The cost to switch energy sources is more than 90 trillion dollars.
Do the math, Non-fueled nuclear costs $1.67 annually per kwh to run. The earth uses 18 trillion kwh annually. So just to run the nuclear plants, we'd need 30 trillion dollars per year.
Add in the costs of construction and the fuel, and you get somewhere in the range of 100 trillion dollars.
Go ahead and cut that in half or a third. 77 trillion is the global GDP. Good luck getting everyone to focus everything on one project while keeping everything going as well.
This is the sole reason SpaceX exists, btw. Running away is the only solution musk could think of.
