>Star Wars would've had double it's Box Office without this guy running it
What's his career gonna be afterwards?
He'll probably end up directing episode 9
Why isn't he directing all three?
>>64106234
Because he didn't want to but now he's mad he didn't because apparently 8's script btfo his.
Rian Johnson is going to make Episode 7 look like a masterpiece.

It sounded like a pretty gracious compliment dunno how your autism translated it into rage
>>64106281
How did Rian Johnson get so much clout anyway? Is it really because of "Ozymandias"?
>>64106143
With a different director I'd have bothered to see it, and I don't like Star Wars.
>>64106306
He's kicking himself I bet. Nothing to do with my glaring autism.
>>64106249
Any leakings into 8's script?
>>64106249
>his
look I know he helped but don't pretend it isn't kasdan's script. He said he regret it because the script is good and he wishes he could direct it, how you turn that into "this script makes mine look so bad I better say I want to do it and how good it is to save face!"?
>>64106321
He said it's so good he wished he was making it, that's not bitter that's gracious/doing marketing for a movie he's still the producer of
it's means it is
>>64106350
No, they haven't even started filming yet. They're probably even more secretive since the whole plot of 7 leaked.
>>64106143
Many of the bits you didn't like would still be in it no matter who directed. Even JarJar Abrahamic only has so much say when faced with the Disney meatgrinder.
>>64106234
Thank god he isn't.
>>64106386
>that's not bitter that's gracious/doing marketing for a movie he's still the producer of
This. Strange what different messages people will extrapolate from comments from directors/actors/etc.

He did a good job making the nostalgia bait Disney wanted while telling his own story. Look at Jurassic World(which was directed by the guy who'll work on Ep IX) to see how wrong it could've gone.
