Everything about that documentary was big boy. It also made me gain an appreciation for a lot more characters during the Civil War, specifically Nathan Bedford Forest and Sherman.

I'd consider that one sort of neutral/positive. One thing i like about the Coens is they'll do movies set in certain regions, and while they may be slightly stereotypical in some ways, it's not outright malicious. Fargo is another example of this.
Sling Blade would fit into the neutral zone as well. One of the better southern movies. It helps it was made by, and starring, actual southerners.
