What was up with all the "legal" drama in this movie.
She saw a lawyer about the patents, he didn't know anything so then her manufacturer ended up owning the patents after her sister paid royalties and another lawyer tells her tough luck you don't own the patents anymore.
But it turns out those patents weren't her patents and were actually owned by some guy in hong kong who wasn't getting any money and everything resolves itself.
First off they're really shitty lawyers if shit like that went over their heads, secondly you would sue the lawyer for negligence and third it is unnecessarily complicated for a fucking movie about self-wringing mops

It sucked. and I've loved this director since fucking flirting with disaster. and i mean genuinely. this was following too far along away on the heels of american hustle and silver linings. the whole first 20 minutes should be tossed in the garbage, the acting is just not there. robert de niro is somewhat successful, the sister is like a caricature. jennifer lawrence's neck moles steal most of the on screen presence. I watched this and point break today and fucking point break was better. point break.
