I don't care much for the Craig films but I feel this was the best Craig performance and good send off for the series. Please no more James Bond films, unless they are set in the past. Mission: Impossible series is so much better.
I did feel it went on too long and could do with some trimming, yeah it's not perfect but Craig was so damn good in this, this was the first time he gave me Connery chills. It isn't completely worthless like people suggest, I thought it was more of a Bond film than Skyfall, in fact it's the most Bond of all the Craig ones but not as good of a film as Casino Royale.
If you're talking about worthless Bond films look at the Brosnan series or Quantum.

Insider here, I know for a fact that Daniel Craig is no longer playing Bond.
Spectre was supposed to be a subtle rehash of old Bond movies that explained Blofeld's rise to power.
Bond trapped in the chair that was burrowing into his brain was akin to the laser scene in Goldfinger.
He was to escape it and fight his way out of the base which would have taken up the entire third act of the movie. Blofeld would be revealed to have escaped.
Instead, he shot one gas pipe and the entire complex exploded.
They then wanted to go the OHMMS route and have Blofeld actually kill the only girl Bond had ever told he loved on screen but they pussied out of that too.
In the end we got no cliff hanger, no lead in to another film and the franchise is dead for now.
This is all at Daniel Craig's request and if you watch his junket interviews he hints constantly that he won't be back but can't confirm due to NDA.
The movie is completely schizophrenic in tone. It goes from campy as hell to serious (at least I think it's supposed to be serious???) in seconds.
