He is the funny loud black guy.
I don't know why he is in the film. Phasma, Poe, aryan general, even Rey could've used more screentime.
He is not even a Stormtrooper. Here we have a Stormtrooper as one of the main characters, and its this. Hey! Hey! /tv/! Shut the fuck up. This is not "Stormtroopers are normal guys". This is a token black guy thinking he is in a parody movie. There is nothing Stormtroopy about it. Stormtrooper didn't take his helmet off to reveal Finn. A black guy pretended to be Stormtrooper.
Funny how all the bad guys were white.
I find him quite good in acting.
But clearly he is not a primary character i bet we won't even see him in EPVIII.

Felt like he suffers from a poorly written role with no clear moments of redemption or character progression. Every time he came close to having a moment for himself, a joke or some other character comes along to over shadow him. He's being brave and selfless, trying to save someone? "Don't hold my hand please, am stronk need no help". decided to save a friend of his from first order clutches? "lol, i already saved myself, didn't need you here buddie, thanks anyways tho"
I honestly can not say much about the acting, for the most part he's just playing comic relief. what a shame.

Regardless of what you think of the plot, his acting is actually pretty good, especially when stood next to Rey who can't act for shit.
