The "grizzly bear" bit was a lie. He and the entire group kidnapped and gang raped the fuck out of that indian chick. She eventually got a weapon, and fucked leo's character's shit up extensively. The rest of the group was going to leave him behind, but the son threatened to tell what they did once they got back if they did that. So they killed the son and dumped the father. No one was conflicted at all.
