Why are we pretending to hate these now? As movies they're trash, yes, but people still loved this shit. I know you're out there.
Is it now against some kind of moral code to realise that the shit you liked as a kid was actually rubbish?
Episode 2 was actually total garbage in every way

When I was like 12 years old I had already watched all the original star wars movies. I actually liked them a lot.

I want genx to leave.
Phantom Menace is based purely for the pod race and Duel of the Fates. As a 10 year old child in the cinema though, I knew there was something terribly terribly wrong with it. It's so toxic it brings down RotS.

it still had potential and interesting conceptual ideas.
>chase through a droid factory
>olde hollywoode romance in a Star Wars film
>bob fett actually doing things
obviously it was all horrible but there were the germs of ideas there. TFA just had Finn's character and it didn't even really deliver on the idea of a defecting Stormtrooper because he had to immediately start behaving like any typical Star Wars protagonist.
>the first 3 episodes were just good, nothing more
>the prequels are shit
>TFA is good by shit standards set by previous films
