Have you ever cried at a cartoon?
Yes
This show man.
>>63983999
No. Stop being a cry baby faggot.
>>63983999
Futurama is for fucking faggots, what are you guys doing with your life. I bet you all like Scrubs too.
Futurama was the king of sappy horseshit endings that tried so hard to be touching
>22 minutes of zany jokes
>last 15 seconds omg so sad
>>63984319
Where do you think we are?
Not a cartoon but I was streaming

This got me more than either >>63983999 or >>63984075
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deAFABFMC80
>>63984355
Luck of the fryish wasnt like that
The creators are smarter than you btw
>>63983999
I got down on my knees and wept, at realization that the redditzation of the world is upon us
>>63984900
>The creators are smarter than you btw
That's a given. /tv/ is easily the dumbest board on 4chan and the writers for The Simpsons/Futurama are mostly Harvard grads.
"Did you see it?!"
"See what?"
>>63983999
Yes. When I was 6 my aunt gave me a copy of "Urotsukidōji" for my birthday, because she thought it was "like Pokemon"
>>63983999
Yes, but not at the fucking cringefests that are Matt Groening shows.
>>63984900
that was exactly what happened though
Never lost my composure over a movie, but the Firebombing scene in Grave of the Fireflies, the atomic bomb in Barefoot Gen, and the WWII montage from American Pop got me welling up (the last one is admittedly weird, but I have a weak spot when it comes to war).
>>63983999
>>63984685
These both caught me off guard thanks to the tonal shift, and I certainly didn't cry over either of them, but they did leave me with a new respect of their respective show.
Also, if you haven't watched The Plague Dogs, you are at all prone to crying over fiction, and this is a desirable outcome for you, it's worth a watch. Nightmarishly bleak by the end.
>>63984727
;_;
>>63984415
My point was that Futurama and Scrubs are both shit.
I mean, I don't really ever say this, but if you're a big fan of those two shows you might want to check out this website called reddit.
>>63985169
>trying this hard
>>63985205
futurama and scrubs are not shit at all
>>63985205
>using objective terms when media is totally subjective
It's alright if you don't like something just don't get your sisters stolen panties in a twist.
>>63985300
>kneejerk stop-disliking-what-I-like response
Looks like I triggered you, friend :^)
>>63985278
scrubs is shit and futurama is basically the same quality as Simpsons episodes that ran at the same time
>>63985350
Not him, but your posts are literally "stop liking what I don't like". You're not actually adding anything to this thread. I know that's what your intention is, but still.
>>63985350
>It's alright if you don't like something
What do you hope to gain from this?
>>63985300
>being one of these people

>im so cool and tuff for not crying at a cartoon, let me shows these fags online what a REAL man like me thinks about them!
gay
Obligatory but yeah
>tfw haven't cried hysterically uncontrollably for a long time
Didn't cry but this hit me pretty hard.
>>63986471
>Feeling even a little bit sorry for Nipps
Dude, you're going to have to try harder than that.
>>63986471
>two nukes were not enough.
>>63984319
>he doesn't like Scrubs

>>63984685
every single fucking time. Mako is just such a sweetheart the entire show. The tenderness and fatherly advice and love he shows towards Zuko culminates into this scene. We see his wall of chipperness, wisdom, and a sense of absolute capability fall into this familiar human, one who's grief is only second to his humanity, who finally allows himself to breath. Not to mention it's paired together with the voice actors death. It's like my heart is covered in lead, lathered in epoxy and melted in cast iron.
>>63986471
I don't think I've watched enough sad movies, but this was the first movie ever to make me just bawl my eyes out.
>>63987353
Damn Scrubs was good at one point
>>63984319
I don't like scrubs but loved futurama. Futurama with exception of the maymay never actually got much mainstream success which led to its repeated cancellation but was well received by most reviewers.
Why don't you post a list of your favourite comedy TV shows so we can all make fun of you for having shit taste?
I'll start:
Peep show
Spaced
Brassy eye
Nathan for you
Curb your enthusiasm
>>63985169
kek
>>63984319
I understand that feeling. I was going to watch Rick and Morty until someone compared it to Futurama.
God damn I hate that redditier humor.
>>63985169
lol
>>63988324
>'Reddit' is a valid criticism
I fucking hate /tv/.
>>63988387
>some whiny worthless illiterate nobody loser gets to dictate what criticism is "valid"
Go back to reddit.
>>63988324
Do you also not like the simpsons?
>>63988438
Tell me exactly what 'Reddit' humor is.
>>63988452
I liked the early Simpsons when I was younger but I wouldn't rewatch it.
They could be shit for all I know.
No, but the closest thing that's ever made me cry was that Courage the Cowardly Dog episode where he can't save his parents.
I watched it some time ago, never fails to make my eyes watery.
>>63988472
It's existentialist. Existentialism is worthless and a stupid outlook and Redditors feel special for thinking that way.
>>63988547
I honestly don't know how you could define reddit humor but that was honestly the worst explanation you could give.
This episode was fucking depressing. The song still makes me cry like a faglord.
No, I am an adult.
>>63988616
Not really Reddit humour so much as Reddit philosophy. But Reddit humour is very self-referential and "zany." If Reddit makes a joke, you will know right off the bat that it is supposed to be funny.
>>63988646
for all the shit that the show gets, the back story is pretty good. If it didn't have such a tumblr and hot topic fanbase id be more open to it
>>63988758
>Jokes that are supposed to be funny are reddit jokes
>>63986471
I cry every time I remember that we didn't nuke them enough to wipe their entire subhuman race off the face of the planet
>>63986777
>>63987164
>>63988817
nice one gents
>>63986471
I didn't cry or even feel sad, blamed he brother cause he was a retarded faggot who couldn't just put up with his aunt's shit and take money out of the bank so ease stuff
>>63988794
No, but purposefully "zany" and "wacky" shite is. If you can describe a show/ joke as zany or wacky it belongs on Reddit.
No. Up was probably the closest I ever got, but that was still a long way from crying. You know, because I have testicles.
Just during the snowman animation that they put on before Starwars.
>>63983999
The ending to this is the correct answer.
>>63984075
That whole movie.
tfw I will never be Lars .....
>>63984355
So so edgy.
>>63988515
the last of the starmakers was a beautiful episode
and the one with eustace giving courage his hat
and the ending of the episode where kitty returns to bunny thanks to courage
and the magical tree of nowhere
Courage the Cowardly Dog had its moments.
i also shed a small glass of tears in Cowboy Bebop at the end of Waltz For Venus. those feelings and music used in that episode are really touching.
>>63984125
This was probably the most obvious instance of trying to force "feels" on to the audience.
Completely fails to live up to classic moments like
>>63984075
and>>63983999
>>63989536
cuck
This episode is underrated desu
Almost every episode of both Bojack and season 2 Mushishi brings tears to my eyes; both are currently on Netflix and are worth watching, if you haven't already.
Cartoons / animated movies that made me cry:
• monsters, inc
• the episode where Fry saves Leila from the bee sting
• finding nemo (can't remember but possible)
• big hero six
>>63984075
This destroyed me
This
What went so right with Futurama?
>>63990373
Oh god I remember that.
>>63991350
smart writers, an idea with a ton of fairly unexplored comedic potential, and it was story driven
imo
>>63984125
What episode is this from?
Never seen it.
I haven't watched past The Green Yonder
