Ewan was easily the best part about the prequels. It would have been liam as qui gon had he lived longer. And imo the battle between obi wan and anakin was the best scene in the prequels and could have stood against a few OT scenes on its own.

Ewan was good, but he wasn't that good. He clearly had contempt for the shitty film he realised he was in an can barely keep a straight face in some scenes.
The best thing about the prequels is Sheev hands down. McDiarmid was so fucking good he just went all out and on acting skill alone gave us a character that pretty much rescues the whole trilogy.

People have said if for years and they mean it. 6 has great space combat, Palpatine and the Luke/Vader fight. But it also has fucking Ewoks. Endor and the speeder bikes which seem cool to some but make no sense in a fucking redwood forest at high speeds. Ewoks and speeder bikes aside, Endor is so fucking boring. The Tattooine part drags on way too long too only to resolve a fucking cliffhanger from the prior film.
So yeah, 3 is better than 6. Even with the "Noooooo!" and lame "Luke" "Leia" baby delivery. Even with the cringe worthy dialogue at points. Or Anakin turning bad to "save" Padme. It's still got enough other going for it to save it whereas 6 doesn't

Return of the Jedi is fucking TERRIBLE, I just rewatched it this weekend after Empire. The drop in quality is insane, it's actually bad.
3 is bad in a lot of ways too but it's still more fun.
The ONLY good part of jedi is Sheev/Vader, and the space battle is ok even though it's a rehash.
Jabba's part is alright as well, but still felt kind of cheesy.
The acting, the Han and Leia chemistry, it takes a steep drop. And the whole movie is rushed. The ewoks are a clear marketing ploy.
If you watch it again and can't see how bad it is, you have no business judging movies.
