Basically Episode 8 would be a CGI shitfest with the odd good moment if Jackson were at the helm
Jackson himself admitted that he fucked up The Hobbit.
Maybe if he realizes what he did wrong (largely the massive overuse of CGI), and corrects it, then I think it could turn out very good.
Let's not forget that he did the original Lord of the Rings trilogy, which are classic cinematic epics in their own right.
