I'm really glad they will turn the franchise into a series of Anthology films. Should've done this instead of Ep7 desu. The main story is over, there's nothing to expand it on. Emperor dead, empire defeated. But the universe is so rich and there are so many stories to be told about the galactic civil war itself. It's much better than trying to stretch the whole thing.

Rogue One will most likely end where a New Hope starts. I'm not sure the story of the spin off will occur a long time before ANH, more like right before. The team gives the plans of the Death Star to Leia, and then ANH begins. The teaser for Rogue One shows TIE fighters flying towards the Death Star, so it happens closer to ANH than RotS.
