R2-D2 suddenly waking back up to show the rest of the map was done for the sole purpose to move the plot forward because JJ had no idea how to link together the death planet blowing up to Rey going off to find Luke. The ending of the movie was total shit.
BB-8 and the retarded idea that for whatever reason, the map was complete except for one small section were inconsequential. You could do away with all of that and have R2 just powering back up and revealing the whole map after Rey got done pummeling everyone with her perfect princess powers and nothing would change.
