There's nothing wrong with this other than the snap zoom. The budget has nothing to do with it either because the effect is fine. Watching the movie for the first time before it became a meme it wasn't out of the ordinary.

How are budgets over 200M justified by studios? The Force Awakens, with the full force of ILM at work behind it, was made for 200 while fucking Pirates of the Carribean 4 cost almost twice that. It just seems like the returns really start diminishing around that point.
