dead gen edition
or; probably going to 404 in 10 minutes because of Star Wars threads edition
>The popular reviews on the front page
Why is it always the same review of "I LAUGHED I CRIED I RAGED I FELT LIFE FUCK EVERYONE IT'S PERFECT" by the same three people?
It's a little embarrassing and puts a sort of stigma on Letterboxd reviewers; they shit their pants at anything with insane amounts of CGI and rehashed characters

People want to feel justified in spending $40+ dollars to go to the cinema. Popular reviews will always trend towards positive hyperbole.
Aiming for a round autistic 300 for this year, anons.

Impressive.
Did you ever feel like watching a movie was a chore? I've often tried to watch a movie daily, but it usually turns out I'm not in the mood. I wouldn't want to ruin the experience for myself by watching a particular movie when my interest level isn't high enough to immerse myself.
ITT: You make a Letterboxd review
I shat. I cried. I died. I lived. I did many other things in the span of 2 hours.
Thank you, DIRECTOR, thank you for making one of the greatest, if not GREATEST experiences I've witnessed on the silver screen.
Actor's name, Actor's name. ACTOR'S FUCKING NAME!
They killed it!
I loved the shots with the characters I saw from other movies.
The comic relief character! So much heart. Love em.
The villain was so badass. Such a complex character compared to most movies.
The ending was FUCKING AWESOME!
My true reaction will have to wait after a second viewing because all of my reactions are based on hype and marketing since I am a trend follower who could never write a real review if I tried,
but all I can say now is, this movie is perfect.

>Did you ever feel like watching a movie was a chore?
Very rarely, but it happens, yeah. I try not to think of it as "I'm gonna watch one movie every evening", I love movies so it's something I want to do, even if it's a dumb one.

What's your favorite movie of 2015 thus far?
>>63878340
I've seen only pic related so far, it's not much.
Out of those favorites would be Mad Max, Inside Out and The Walk.
>>63878569
I recommend watching Sicario; the Blu-Ray rip just leaked.
Also, Sunset Song, Brooklyn, Carol, Cemetery of Splendor, Jauja, Rams, The Assassin, Horse Money, Mountains May Depart, Hard to Be a God, Far from the Madding Crowd, Evolution, The Club, Ladrones, Enklava, Difret, Rudderless, Trash, The Dressmaker, Phoenix, Manglehorn, Plemya, A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence, Tangerines, Tangerine, Spotlight, Son of Saul, Victoria, Desierto, Dheepan, Room, Entertainment, Clouds of Sils Maria, Macbeth, Wild Tales, Partisan, The Lobster, Too Late, The Wonders, Eden, Mediterranea, and (my personal favorite) Dancing Arabs are lesser-known movies of the year that I think you may really enjoy. I recommend at least looking them up—a few will pique your interest for sure.

Yeah, I saw Far from the Madding Crowd, it was pretty decent. I already downloaded Sicario but it's too late tonight to watch it, I'll do it the coming week, I have high hopes for it. I'll run the rest throught Letterboxd to see what's the deal with them, thanks.

>she actually watched the screener
absolute madwoman. why would you ruin a film where the visuals are such a large part by watching it in such shitty quality? I'm excited for it but certainly not that desperate.
>>63880677
Lubezki is a hack so visuals can't be that important.
>>63880677
The screener is really nice though, it has a great texture. Best I've seen so far tbqh filmfriend.
