i think it will be revealed that kylo actually wants to defeat snoke but his mind is warped into thinking he needs the power of the dark side to do it, which actually gives greater context to alot of the lines he has in TFA, one of which is the vader helmet scene "finish what you started" could literally mean using the dark side like vader did to defeat a bigger evil.
