The only thing that carries on from one film to the next I would say was Leia being Force sensitive and Luke's brother - but only because it was never outright stated until Jedi, it's still heavily implied in Empire when she senses Luke and they go back for him

Am I the only one who saw the dark side in her after that battle? She looked like she was a second away from killing Darth Ben. Her use of the lightsaber was also pretty aggressive. Of course, he was wounded.
The only problem is that she was very meditative when she used the force. That's what makes a real jedi. Sith are less controlled. But I could totally see her dueling Darth Ben in the third movie (after he becomes a jedi), and her taunting that she was the one who could live up to vader's greatness.
