Name a more aesthetically pleasing ship than the battlestar pegasus in all of sci-fi
Go ahead, I'll wait

any

>dr who
>sci-fi
>>63807879
pegasus needs the center section to be about 20% longer, it looks a tad stocky
and to answer your question, pic related
>>63809341
Such a cluster fuck
Something about the B-Wing. I know a lot of people hate it.
>>63809258
>Boring not-Millennium-Falcon
>>63809341
>Tad stocky
That's the point. The great thing about the BSG warships is they are built like solid blocks of metal. They can take massive heads because the entire thing is bulkhead.
I win
>>63809638
D is better
I always liked sorta realistic looking ships
>>63809578
nah thats not what i mean
the galactica has a nice long pleasing sleek shape
the pegasus looks like they started with this principle, and then squished the ship
>spacecraft
>designed with the "bottom" at a right angle to the direction of travel
There's no gravity in space. "Down" would be toward the engines of the ship.
>>63809753
This, to be quite honest family.
Also: projectrho.com/public_html/rocket is a really great read for anyone interesting in realistic space warfare/travel.
Not even joking about this, but either...
The Arwing from Starfox or,
The Swordfish II from Cowboy Bebop
Simple, geometric designs that still have that "worn" aesthetic are better than the clunky shit posted so far.
>>63809753
>all ships posted thus far have artificial gravity and some method of preventing intertia with direction of travel
>wahh your spaceships arent scientific!!!
>>63809753
Obviously they have some sort of gravity system onboard. I mean they have FTL drives so relativity is already out the window, why not gravity generator?
>>63809729
Herroww
>>63809729
That is some good CGI
>>63809914
ftl is at least plausible in the real world with current science if you could accelerate fast enough for long enough (obviously we can't, but in principle it's possible)
denying basic newtonian inertia and magically generating gravity perpendicular to the vector of movement is just silly
>>63807879
Gallatica was better desu
>>63809677
>Huge fucking sauce section
Fuck that shit, E-E is best
Freespace has some great fighter designs. Pic related is the Apollo.
>>63809865
The Arwing is awesome.
>>63810050
D is pretty ugly
the winnebago of starships
huge, ungainly, curves in all the wrong places
E has no tact, but damn is it sexy
>>63807879
I hope you like blue lasers
>>63809997
>ftl is at least plausible in the real world with current science if you could accelerate fast enough for long enough (obviously we can't, but in principle it's possible)
Actually that's completely wrong. Relativity flat-out states nothing can accelerate to the speed of light. Einstein said nothing about particles already traveling the speed of light, but accelerating to that speed is impossible.
If you were to put a headlamp on your Sonic-gotta-go-fast ship, you would find that despite how fast you go the light photons are always traveling away from you at the same speed.

>ftl is at least plausible in the real world with current science

>>63807879
>there must be some way outta here starts playing.
>>63807879
>>63810459
Are you this dumb? It's All Along the Watchtower dude.
>>63810582
That's the meme you dip
>>63807940
Wrong image senpai. This is a lot closer to what we saw in The Plan.
Or do you prefer the cube?
>>63810639
But "it Ain't Me" is the actual title of the song, double-nigger.
>>63810712
hehe... meme.
>>63810779
I checked and now I feel retarded. Sorry anon.
You're still a double-nigger.
>>63810404
This nigga gets it
>>63810538
Looks like a cross between an A-Wing and a T-47 Airspeeder/Snowspeeder.
>>63810897
Kek, did you actually think it was called "It ain't me"?
>>63809578
That scene in the miniseries where everybody is like
>oh shit nukes!
And then big G just shrugs them off
>armor kept all the hard stuff out
Personally I have a real soft spot for this blood-green motherfucker right here.
>>63809507
Mah nigga. I love the B-wing.
>>63809638
I prefer the Ambassador-class that was Enterprise-C.
>>63812306
>mfw I still have the big battery powered toy with light up nacelles and tv sounds from when I was a kid
Christmas can't possibly be as good ever again.
>>63809865
>>63810075
Fuck off back to /v/
I always liked the design of the Liberty Dreadnought.
>>63812792
Rheinland battleships looked better. Juni's Defender was the only good Liberty design
>>63811384
same designer. Was a discarded design for the vipers for the 70's Battlestar Galactica.(hence the fangs) Got recycled for Buck Rogers.
>>63812240
OUT OF MY WAY, YOU DILDO
It was pretty cool before it got mega overpowered with those as asgard beam weapons that projected from nowhere
>>63812869
Really?
Well that's cool to know.
>>63810697
This is the only objectively correct answer.
The later movies had some neat shuttle designs.
>>63809507
They can fuck right off, the B-Wing is and has always been my favorite.
Such a creative and badass ship design, and it's cool they introduced it during RotJ when the Mon Cal ships started showing up in the Alliance.
Goddamn Star Wars used to feel like a real universe, like you were watching a real thing take place.
The only thing that rivaled the B-Wing was the sick A-Wing, but that's just because I love fast as fuck interceptors.
>>63809729
>No radiators
I don't care if they were afraid audiences would think they were wings.
