It was marketing to an art.

The story was bland and was made up as they went.
The girls are cookie cutter.
Olaf is one of the worst characters disney has ever made. Literally just there to sell.
Though the Christoff/Sven parts were really cool, they were severely under played and because it's THE CURRENT YEAR all men have to be goofy idiots while the strong independent women take care of themselves.
Its a thing to shut your kids up, and maybe enjoy once or twice. It's not the hyper film that the money says it is.

I quite liked it. Tangled has a lot going for it, but Frozen had a lot more emotional oompf, I think. It was by no means perfect, though.
One thing that did bother me was just how forgiving the entire movie is of Elsa though. Bitch ran away from all her duties and responsibilities and caused a snowstorm that should have (but conveniently didn't) seriously fucked up the land she was now ruler of.
Hans being given any sort of power, and the way he took charge when Elsa ran away made no real sense.
Olaf and the trolls were a little annoying. I honestly think they could have dared to go a little darker with it.
