The Mouth Of Sauron comes forward and tells them that Frodo is gone.
You can see the horror in the eyes of based fuckin Vigo.
You hear the whispers from Sauron who is probably telling him that all the hope is dead and he can easily join him and rule the world together.
You see the desperation in based Aragaorn, he knows that Frodo and all the hope for the middle earth is gone(despite them being actually alive, they dont fuckin know this)
He comes forward slowly.
He can easily join Sauron at this point and rule everything till the end of hes live.

Faramir tells the story of man. Far more so than some faggot who was corrupted by the mere idea of the ring.
If you watched the Extended edition scenes you would know that it was his father Denethor who sent Boromir to the Council in Rivendell, he didnt want to go in first place.
Also in the books Boromir died like a champ as well, taking a lot of arrows and still fighting, uruks would shoot from afar because they were kinda scared of him.

The Extended editions flesh out pretty much every character a lot more, but they make Boromir and Faramir so much more interesting it's insane. Especially Boromir. He almost seems like an outright villain in the theatrical cut rather than a hero led astray. Even Denethor benefited a fair bit.

Only two of those happen in the books, and not even like that really.
Aragorn has quite a few adventures fighting against Mordor/evil in general during his early years. His tracking is very useful and worth learning. He is of elven blood more so than Boromir. He always gave a shit about being king of Gondor. He's more okay with Boromir in the books and understands why he acts like he does around the ring and he actually contemplates taking the ring to Minas Tirith, but circumstances take that away for sure.
They didn't have time to bury him or else they would have never even slightly caught up with the orcs.
Also, Faramir would not have wanted to be king.

He's liked so much because he's more human than Aragorn. Anyone could admire Aragorn or Boromir. They're both great warriors and leaders with their people at the forefront of their minds, but the difference is Boromir is more fundamentally flawed and therefore he's that much more relatable than Aragorn. He's conflicted like all of us are, he's susceptible to temptation like all of us are, and he gets desperate like all of us can. He shows moments of weakness periodically, and even though he tries to take the Ring from Frodo he overcomes all that with the ultimate redemption story of the series. Without Boromir there wouldn't have been a Two Towers or a Return of the King, and he did it without ever getting to see for himself the salvation of his people. That's why he's a great character. He's both a flawed man and someone whose strengths are to be admired.
I love Aragorn too, but he's too perfect.
