Least challenging Bergman
>>
>>63716391
The only other Bergman I've watched is Wild Strawberries and I loved it. What would be considered his most "challenging" film?
>>
>>63716496
dunno but work your way up to Fanny and Alexander and A Glass Darkly
>>
>>63716496
Maybe Cries and Whispers or Scenes From A Marriage. I guess Persona is a valid answer but it's so popular that you'll find essays about it everywhere you look.

Sounds to me like you haven't seen his early films.

So I just noticed this as I was about to put THE Saragossa Manuscript on. Is it some kind of a curse? Is there a cure or am I stuck forever watching films starting with THE?

Are you even listening to me? As your father, I’m concerned. You spend all day drinking Morpho and staring at your devices. All year long, you’ve displayed unpredictable mood swings. One minute you’re making ‘dank’ memes about serious problems like it’s a big joke, and the next you’re full of rage at the most minuscule slight, making dramatic posts on your Twitter. Every year, I wonder when you’ll grow out of this pubescent phase and do something. Have you set any goals for your future? What was that? Enunciate, you’re mumbling again. Yes, you’re right, I don’t understand you! I don’t understand your obsession with violence and pornography! And yes, I have been monitoring your internet habits. Which reminds me: are you on drugs?

Does anyone else NOT list rewatches in their diary? I feel it's redundent but it makes my diary look empty, like I watch movies only occasionally when in reality I watch at least one movie every day.
>>
>>63721902
I log rewatches, they have the functionality for it and I don't really get why you wouldn't but ultimately it's your movie diary you can use it as you want.
>>
>>63721902
It's useful for the Year In Review feature. Lets you know which directors were your faves.

Been getting into the habit of watching a movie at lunchbreak, surprising how some movies can feel deep as shit yet clock under two hours- I still can't believe Aguirre: Wrath of God is only 91 minutes.
>>63726325
I FUCKING LOVE FILMS
>>
>>63726382
I know right? People like Bergman and Godard made some pristine films that are under 90 minutes. It helped me get motivated to dedicating days off to just watching classics.
>>
Rostova here

One of my teachers said my writing is "eloquent", another said it is "elegant", and in another class I wrote a quick humorous poem and the teacher was amused.

Basically, should I start doing proper reviews?

>>63721902
i dont do it because 1. its impossible to recall how many times i rewatched some films i saw as a kid (and i strive to have a perfect diary) 2. a lot of films ive "rewatched" by having them as background noise and ocassionally checked, others ive "rewatched" by seeing 50% of it and then stopping. its too loose of a term to keep consistency.
>>
>>63727669
Yeah, that's exactly why I don't do it.

I work on a small retail store, my work hours are 8-12:30 and 3-7:30. I have more than enough time to watch a movie in the dead time I have in the middle of the day, unless I waste it all shitposting, which I do shamefully often.
