Honestly, I think the skits wouldn't have been all that bad if kept in the background. He's doing a show themed around classic games, having some stupid classic gamey stuff going on wouldn't be all that out of place.Also the Retrothinker's introduction bordered on watchable until the zombie bullshit.
He ended up having like half the fucking episode typically consumed by the plots, though, well beyond what even an outright good version (if you can imagine that) could sustain. It really became that joke about the soup, his analysis was terrible and there wasn't enough of it.

I'm gonna be honest here.
I don't hate Bob. Don't get me wrong, his content is unbearably bad, but I don't think he's really a wicked person. A huge chunk of the social justice crowd feigns interest in video games, but Bob is not one of them. His autistic love for games seems genuine.
When I see Bob, I don't see an asshole. I see an awkward social reject who never fit in anywhere. Desperate for the approval of others, he joined the social justice crowd, adopted all their approved opinions, and started flagellating his own identity, just to fit in somewhere.
