Critics in newspaper refused to be paid if they want to be taken seriously.

On YouTube it's a relatively new phenomenon and they don't tell shit about it in the intro.
>>
okay

so what do you want to do now? gonna start flickgate to combat lack of ethics among movie critics?
>>
>>63701965
I thought he was better than that.

Am i the only adult on this board ?

How can you possibly trashtalk a movie if you're paid for talking about it ? Especialy if this kind of arrangement is hidden from the general public.

I thought even with video games review on YouTube kids understand this simple fact.
>>
Disney doesn't need to pay for reviews, Star Wars has already made it's money back from presale tickets. Bad reviews isn't going to keep people from seeing the biggest movie of the decade.
>>
>>63702334

It can help to build the hype tho. Why dôme YouTubers are know to charge 20k $ for a "positive" review ?
>>
The social media marketing by Disney is going to be insane this weekend. BILLIONS
>>
>>63702334
They easily spent well into a billion or more on marketing too, bitchtits. Star Wars is literally plastered onto everything right now.

His wife is jewish, what do you expect?
Tbh theflickpick is the only legit youtube critic.
>>
Honestly, that channel probably has nothing to do with Disney. What suggests that's some official channel? It's most likely some dude who reviews Disney park rides or something.
>>
>Disney posts a comment on YouTube - pure PR
>omg paid review!!!

what a proof mate

By looking at the definition of the word 'critic', and not 'Paid to praise'.

Holy fuck guys we better make death threats to Disney Execs as soon as possible
It's about ethics in film journalism

>disney only comments on positive fanboy reviews
there is another thread where /tv/ posters are worried that the reviewer in question got paid because the review is nothing like his other reviews and you literally have a disney PR agent congratulating him on his video.

Go figure
>>
>>63703324
There's basically no difference these days. I hope you're trolling.

That's why it's ok? Ok, take a hike kid
I won't reply to your retarded comments

imagine they didn't pay for the reviews.
if you wanted to hype a movie, which reviews would you comment on? that's right, the positive ones.

stilll kinda think they paid for the revies though
>>
>>63703338
I watch Stuckmann regularly, how was it different then previous videos?
>>
>>63702255
It's just what I've always thought.

A lot of these YouTube reviewers I used to watch seem to have become shills for Disney over the past year or so: ScreenJunkies, Stuckmann, Jahns...
>>
>>63702334
It's for the Oscars.

Disney isn't content with $$, they want glory too - even if that means manufactured glory.

It's why the only films to win the Best Animated Feature race recently have been Disney/Pixar films.
